What is Reiki?

Reiki (Ray-Key) is a traditional Japanese energy healing technique developed by Mikao Usui in the 19th century. Reiki translates as ‘universal lifeforce energy’ and works across physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels to promote balance and wellbeing.

Reiki is a natural and safe method of energy work that everyone can use. It is a gentle but powerful therapy which has been effective in helping virtually every known illness, creating a beneficial effect and working in conjunction with all other medical and therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. It uses the universal lifeforce energy to calm your mind and heal and restore your body for your optimum health and wellbeing.

What can I expect?

During a Reiki session you relax, fully clothed, whilst Stephanie channels the healing Reiki through her hands to you.

In the original Japanese style, Stephanie works intuitively and intentionally with different aspects of the universal energy to tailor each treatment to address your specific needs at that time.

During a Reiki treatment, clients often report feeling heat, tingling or pulsing. Some experience the energy as colours, whilst others simply experience a deep sense of calm whilst the energy is at work. There is no right or wrong to how you personally experience the Reiki energy and indeed, you may find it differs from treatment to treatment.

Many clients report a deep, energising relaxation, a lightness and sense of balance and wellbeing as well as an improvement in the area they originally came to address.

Treatments are non-intrusive and may be hands-on or just above your body.
